THE person who chose the ‘designer’ costume (that was what it is really) that popular Yoruba movie actor, Fathia Balogun wore during her birthday celebrations recently, does not like her. And if the actor wore that dress to provoke talking points, then she actually succeeded.

T4T saw the video of the event and could not immediately recognise aunty Fathia, ex-wife of another equally popular actor, Saheed Balogun. Describing the costume is a huge task but T4T will try to make it easy, especially for those who have not seen the video.

Have you seen any of those Elizabethan movies? Yes, the one you see those women wearing stuff with stiff shoulder pads that make them look like their shoulders are permanently raised and pinned down and they walk with their two hands raised like the wings of an airplane poised for take off?

Well, that was how aunty Fathia was walking, like those WWE wrestlers with bulging biceps. No doubt, the Nollywood actress would have spent hours at a massage parlor after the event because nobody, especially a woman, would have her shoulders raised stiff for that long and not require a massage thereafter!

And just to be in tune with modernity, the tailor, ensured that Fathia exposed a large portion of her breast for public consumption with what looked like two steel pads under them.

Aunty Fathia to T4T looked like one in a straight jacket. That was pure torture for the Delta state born actor but then, she looked like she had fun that day, at a huge cost to her wellbeing anyway, because T4T saw in the video, the who is who in the Yoruba entertainment circle from her fellow actors and music stars like Pasuma.

Congratulations Aunty Fathia, hope your shoulders have healed by now.
