Media strategist and founder of That Good Media, Toyosi Etim-Effiong, has been honoured with the Excellence in Marketing and Media Solutions Award at the grand gala of the 2026 SheBoss Global Retreat in Doha, Qatar.
The SheBoss Global Retreat is an international leadership and business platform designed to empower ambitious women through curated global experiences, strategic networking, and executive-level dialogue.
The Doha 2026 edition marked an expansion of its global footprint through its collaboration with the Qatari Businesswomen Association, positioning the retreat as a gateway for Africa-Middle East business partnerships.
This year’s partnership strengthening cross-continental collaboration between African and Middle Eastern women leaders. Hosted in one of the world’s fastest-growing global business hubs, the retreat convened high-impact entrepreneurs, executives, diplomats, and creatives for six days of dialogue, cultural exchange, and elevated networking.
Beyond receiving the award, Toyosi Etim-Effiong also served as a featured panelist on the high-level discussion titled ‘Building Trade-Ready Businesses: From Local Excellence to Global Markets.’
On the panel, she shared insights on how African businesses, particularly within media and creative industries, can refine structure, storytelling, positioning, and partnerships to compete confidently on the global stage.
Drawing from her experience leading That Good Media and bridging Nollywood into international markets, she emphasised the importance of intentional branding, export-ready systems, and strategic collaborations.
Her perspective aligned seamlessly with the retreat’s broader vision of transforming locally successful enterprises into globally competitive brands.
