Ingentia Energies Limited has increased its production by 150 per cent under the leadership of its outgoing interim Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Charles Odita, as the company moves to consolidate the gains with the appointment of Victor Agbaroji as new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
The company’s Board of Directors, in a letter signed by its Chairman, Oseni Elamah, commended Odita for what it described as transformational leadership, saying his tenure had driven significant growth across the company’s operations and positioned it for sustained long-term success.
The commendation followed a meeting in Lagos attended by Odita and Agbaroji, who has now formally assumed leadership of the company.
The board described Odita’s tenure as a defining period in Ingentia Energies’ evolution, citing the 150 per cent increase in production as a reflection of the success of the company’s operational and growth strategies.
Elamah congratulated and expressed appreciation to Odita for his leadership, describing his tenure as “transformational,” marked by strategic clarity, decisive execution and exceptional leadership.
Agbaroji, an engineer, said he would build on the foundation laid by his predecessor as the company begins the next phase of its growth.
He identified enhanced drilling operations, maximising the value of existing assets, improving cost competitiveness, expanding the company’s portfolio and unlocking greater value from its gas resources as key priorities under his leadership.
“Our immediate focus is to strengthen the next phase of our drilling campaign by leveraging the seismic acquisition programme currently underway.
“This will enable us to execute a more robust and efficient drilling programme while improving exploration outcomes and operational performance,” Agbaroji said.
He also identified crude oil evacuation infrastructure as critical to supporting future production growth, saying the company would intensify efforts to advance its pipeline evacuation project.
Agbaroji said the company would sustain the momentum achieved under Odita while drawing on the experience and institutional knowledge developed during his tenure.
The leadership transition comes as Ingentia Energies seeks to consolidate its recent production gains, expand capacity and improve operational efficiency, with a focus on strengthening its position as an indigenous energy company and delivering sustainable value to stakeholders.
