Dr. Oluwanifemi Fagbohun has been named one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2026 Honourees, recognizing her leadership and contributions across community development, entrepreneurship, beauty, health and wellness.
She was formally celebrated alongside the other 2026 honourees at the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Awards celebration, held on September 19, 2026, in Toronto.
The recognition reflects Dr. Fagbohun’s more than two decades of work building platforms, businesses and community initiatives that support entrepreneurs, women, girls, young people and families across Canada and beyond.
“I am deeply honoured to be recognized among 100 accomplished Black Canadian women whose work continues to strengthen communities and create opportunities for others,” said Dr. Fagbohun. “This recognition represents the communities, partners and individuals who have trusted the vision and contributed to the work. It also strengthens my commitment to building sustainable systems that help people and organizations thrive.”
A globally recognized community ecosystem builder, business development strategist, beauty, health and wellness expert, bestselling author and internationally trained chemical and polymer engineer, Dr. Fagbohun has developed a multifaceted career spanning Africa and North America.
She is the founder of Niffy Signature, a vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand built on the principle that beauty should never compromise health. Through her work in the beauty and wellness sector, she has empowered more than 15,000 people globally and developed a community reaching more than 45,000 individuals.

Dr. Fagbohun is also the founder of Montreal Vendors, a business growth and community platform supporting a network of more than 17,000 entrepreneurs and creatives. The platform helps small and minority-owned businesses access strategic visibility, partnerships, mentorship, collaboration and growth opportunities.
Her commitment to community well-being extends through the Niffy Wellness Foundation, where she serves as founder and executive director. The foundation supports girls’ and women’s empowerment, youth voice, mentorship, culturally relevant wellness education and community-based initiatives.
In addition, Dr. Fagbohun serves as Director of Strategy, Community and Enterprise Development at African Collective Quebec, contributing to initiatives focused on economic empowerment, newcomer support, cultural representation, community belonging and access to resources.
Contributing to national conversations
Her involvement with the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2026 programme extended beyond the awards celebration.
On September 18, she participated as a panelist at the organization’s symposium, contributing to the discussion, “Mental Health: Community Solutions for Black Girls, Women and Families.” Her contribution focused on the role of schools, educators, youth-serving organizations and community spaces in recognizing concerns early and supporting Black girls and young people.
Earlier in the year, Dr. Fagbohun joined four other women for “The Power of Narrative: Media and Representation,” a panel held on February 8 as part of the programming featuring women from the 2026 cohort.
During the discussion, she addressed representation through three central principles: accuracy, agency and ownership. She emphasized the importance of moving beyond visibility to ensuring that individuals and communities have greater influence over how their identities, experiences and contributions are represented.
The panel was subsequently documented by journalist Safa Hachi in The Link, Concordia University’s independent student newspaper, in an article titled “The Power of Narrative: Black Women on Shaping Representation in Canadian Media,” published on February 10, 2026.
