The turnout at Sol Beach reflected Seyi Vibez’s growing pull among Nigerian music fans. The concert provided a platform for the singer to perform his music in front of a large live audience while also bringing together different acts from the contemporary Nigerian music scene.

The performance comes at a time when Seyi Vibez’s latest album, Swaggu, is gaining international attention. The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, giving the singer his highest-charting project on the global chart. It also opened at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top Albums Debut Chart and debuted at No. 35 on the Worldwide Apple Music Albums Chart.

Mainland Block Party had previously hosted Seyi Vibez on May 1, making the October 1 concert another collaboration between the singer and the event platform within the year. The return came as the organisers continued their programme of bringing established Nigerian artistes to live audiences across Lagos.
