LASBCA gets new general manager

The Lagos State Government has announced the appointment of Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, an architect as the new Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) general manager.

The Lagos State Government has announced the appointment of Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, an architect as the new Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) general manager.

He took over from Mrs. Abiola Kosegbe, the immediate past general manager of LASBCA who was deployed as permanent secretary in the State Public Service.
 
Oki is a result oriented professional architect with a broad understanding of architectural design and construction. He was born to the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Oki in Lagos Island. 
 


He started his Elementary School at Yaba Model Primary School Surulere between 1975 and 1980; he proceeded to Ansar-ur-deen Grammar School in 1981.
 
Oki also attended University of Jos, Plateau State for his first degree in Architecture and obtained his M.Sc. degree in Architecture in 1992 from the same School, major in Urban Design (slum areas), Acoustics, Landscaping planning, Building Construction, Structures, Architectural professional Practice and Ethics.
 
Oki a well-rounded project manager with over 30 years of experience in design details, planning and coordinating projects, experienced in dealing with problems in a resourceful and analytical manner, reviewing methods to achieve the desired objectives with good organisational and inter-personal skills started his public service carrier on  March 1, 2000 and he has been deployed to various Ministries within the Lagos State Civil Service where he rose through the rank.
 
He was Chief Resilience Officer of the State in the Lagos Resilience Office before his new appointment
 
The new General Manager had managed several laudable projects within the State, which includes: Isale-gangan Multi-story Residential Development first of its kind in Lagos State, designed and being managed by Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency, Platinum Gold Housing Estate Mega-Structure Project, Igbokusu, Lagos.
 
He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and a Member of Architect Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
