A discovering and celebration of exceptional talents beyond walls, Nike Art Gallery Abuja presents Artist Spotlight themed Beyond The Gallery, an initiative dedicated to bringing Abuja-based creatives and their stories to a wider audience.

One of the featured artists in this spotlight is an Abuja based mixed media artist Kuranga Elisha Ayodeji, who make use of newspaper leather, fabric, fiberglass, and textured impasto painting to transforms his works into powerful reflections on culture, identity, emotion, and our shared human tapestry. His works will be displayed at Nike Art Gallery Abuja from September 19th to October 3rd.

“I see life as a tapestry,” he says. “Newspaper holds memory, leather speaks of endurance, fabric gives form, fiberglass gives strength, and texture shows life is not flat.”

Through his art, Elisha explores identity as layered, His mission. ”I explore our shared tapestry through textured mixed media. In his hands, discarded materials become
monuments to resilience.
