The Yobe State Governor,bMai Mala Buni, has approved the immediate construction of four modern markets to boost employment, trade and tourism in the state.

 

The markets, which are to be sited in four Local Government Areas of the state are also to boost the State’s internally generated revenues (IGR).

 

Director General of the Media and Press Affairs to Buni , Alhaji Mamman Mohammed disclosed that the four additional new markets are to be built and secured at Sabon Gari, Bara, Girgir and Ngelzarma located along the 100-kilomette Damaturu-Potiskum road.

 

He added that the completion of the market projects will also strengthen the local economy, as well as improve the livelihoods of the people

 

The Director General stated that the construction of these modern markets will provide significant benefits to the four communities.

 

He said the governor, has already constructed 14 ultra-modern markets across the state since he assumed office in 2019.
