The African Quality Institute in conjunction with World Alliance for Quality has concluded plans to host this year’s conference, exhibition and an award ceremony in commemoration of the world quality day.

Scheduled for Eko hotels & Suites on November 10, 2016, with the theme; Making Operational Governance Count, the organizers explained that the move is in line with the resolution of the United Nations’ believe that quality remains an important tool for national growth and prosperity.

According to the convener Desmond Esorougwe, if society wishes to be assured that the stated organisation values and policies are enacted within organisation, corporate governance alone will not be a solution, therefore quality professionals need to provide the required assurance and insight into the extent to which values and policies are lived within an organisation.

“The Conference section is to sensitize all the stakeholders to embrace best practices in quality management, while the exhibition section will provide an opportunity for organisation to showcase their products and services to an international audience and also celebrate excellence.

“The award night which is tagged Global Quality Excellence Awards 2016 is to reward excellence in quality conformity. The world Quality day is expected to attract international brands across Nigeria Africa and beyond”, a statement from the organizers read in part.
