Risevest, an online wealth management platform, in partnership with Schoolinka, has graduated the first cohort of RiseEducators, a financial literacy programme designed to equip Nigerian teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to build long-term financial security.

The four-week programme, which welcomed 500 teachers from across Nigeria, was created to help educators develop healthier financial habits and gain practical knowledge about wealth building. The initiative marks the beginning of a broader effort to improve financial literacy among teachers nationwide.

Throughout the programme, participants completed four learning phases covering key areas of personal finance. Teachers learnt how to manage their money more intentionally, understand inflation and its impact on purchasing power, build sustainable savings habits, and take their first steps towards investing for long-term wealth creation.

To encourage practical application of the lessons learnt, the top 10 performing participants received up to $50 each in Kickstarter funding to begin their investment journey.

The programme culminated in a graduation ceremony held on Friday, June 12, where 20 finalists who successfully completed the course were recognised and celebrated for their commitment to improving their financial futures.

Speaking on the initiative, Risevest reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to financial education and investment opportunities for Africans.

“At Rise, we believe that building wealth should not be limited to a few people.” Said Eneyi, Global Chief Marketing Officer lead at Risevest. “Financial knowledge is one of the most powerful tools anyone can have, and teachers play a critical role in shaping future generations. Through RiseEducators, we are helping educators gain the confidence and knowledge to make better financial decisions for themselves and their families.”

The RiseEducators programme aligns with Risevest’s vision of helping Africans connect to global wealth opportunities so they can build wealth and, in turn, contribute to a more prosperous society.

Following the success of the first cohort, Risevest and Schoolinka plan to continue the programme with future cohorts, extending its reach and impact to even more teachers across the country.

As more Nigerians seek practical ways to navigate inflation, grow their savings, and invest for the future, initiatives like RiseEducators demonstrate the role financial education can play in creating lasting economic empowerment.
