Eight-year-old crowned FunTease superstar

After trying to be part of the competition for two years without success, eight-year-old Michelle Dan-Dapa of Chrisland School, Lekki, Lagos State, has emerged winner of FunTease Superstar of the Month competition. 
FunTease is a popular educational quiz show designed for kids between ages seven and 15. They make participating call in to radio stations to answer questions on a variety of subjects and are rewarded with different prizes, including tablets and laptops.

The programme runs on strategically selected radio stations, including Inspiration FM, Lagos, Cool FM, Port Harcourt, Urban FM, Enugu, Hot FM, Abuja, KSMC FM, Kaduna and Cool FM, Kano.
According to its producers, Kandaval Communications Nigeria, the programme, which made its debut in 2013, seeks to develop the intellectual capacity of pupils and promote reading culture. 
An elated Michelle, while being presented with her prizes, expressed excitement at coasting home victorious after trying to compete for over two years without success. 
Managing Director/CEO, Kandaval Communications Nigeria, Tony Obot, in his remarks at the presentation, urged pupils to fall in love with activities that help to expand their intellectual capacity, as no knowledge gained is a waste. 
According to him, as knowledge economy becomes the in-thing in the world, parents should spare no expense in giving their children and wards a great head-start in education for them to stand a chance of succeeding in life.
