Chery Automobile has once again emerged as China’s leading exporter of passenger vehicles, extending its streak to 23 consecutive years at the top of the export chart.
Also, Carloha Nigeria, the official assembler and franchise holder of the Chery brand, is celebrating the global milestone while reaffirming its position as the country’s leading after-sales automotive company.
The Chery Group recorded total global sales of 2,806,393 vehicles in 2025, with overseas markets accounting for 1,344,020 units.This represented a 17.4 per cent year-on-year increase in exports, further cementing its dominance as China’s largest passenger vehicle exporter.
On average, one Chery vehicle was exported every 23 seconds during the year, reflecting the brand’s accelerating global acceptance.
Cumulatively, Chery’s total exports have now reached 5.85 million vehicles, with monthly overseas shipments exceeding 140,000 units for the first time.
Within this performance, the core Chery brand sold 1,700,940 vehicles in 2025, driven largely by strong demand for its award-winning SUV and sedan portfolio.
One of the standout models, the Tiggo 8, has maintained its position for nine consecutive years as the best-selling Chinese gasoline-powered mid-size SUV, underscoring Chery’s strength in the SUV segment.
Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director of Carloha Nigeria, Sola Adigun, described the export feat as a significant global milestone. He said the company was proud to represent the Chery brand in Nigeria and to complement its product quality with what he described as the best after-sales experience in the local market.
To support Chery owners nationwide, Adigun said Carloha Nigeria had made substantial investments in its sales and service infrastructure.
General Manager of Marketing at Carloha Nigeria, Felix Mahan, said the company’s focus extends beyond vehicle sales to the entire ownership lifecycle. He noted that this commitment was reflected in the company’s flagship after-sales offering, the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 package.
The CarlohaCare 6-6-7 programme provides Chery customers with a six-year warranty, six years of free scheduled servicing, and a seven-day repair promise, offering peace of mind and reinforcing Carloha’s emphasis on reliability and customer convenience.
Chery International has also highlighted the strategic importance of Nigeria in its global expansion plans.National Director, Chery International, Kim Lou, described Nigeria as a key market in the brand’s international growth, praising Carloha Nigeria for its strong customer-focused approach and after-sales excellence.
