Group to train 200 children on self-discovery, unique traits

A group under the aegis of Fort Empowerment Foundation in collaboration with Young Midas Network has disclosed plans to offer a free training on self-discovery, unique traits among others to over 200 children in Kuje local government area of Abuja.

In an interview with The Guardian, president of the foundation, Lilian Iwelu, regretted that many Nigerian children had creative and hidden potentials that is yet to be tapped, thereby making them unfulfilled, while other children have found themselves in the wrong places that make them exhibit all manner of vices such as depression, anger, hatred, and unproductiveness.

She said: “It is said that you have to take a leap to receive your peak.

Your true self is the discovery of what you have made of yourself.

Our main focus today is to support our children in the journey of identifying, strengthening, and embracing their true self.

We will seek to help young kids and teenagers identify and apply their strength and voices in finding their purpose in life.

“This event is to celebrate your uniqueness so as to live a fulfilled life.

We hope to achieve this by helping them facilitate the exploration of their unique traits and strengthen their thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a safe space, with self-care strategies for physical, emotional, and mental health and ways to deal with stress, expressing anger, making good decisions.”
