Leo Burnett Lagos wins World Bank project pitch
Leo Burnett Lagos, a fast-rising advertising agency, has won the World Bank International Finance Corporation pitch. Information gathered from reliable source confirmed that the agency won the account after a keenly contested pitch against some powerhouse agencies, including DDB Lagos, Yellow Brick Road, Novel Porta Y&R and the incumbent Blue Bird Communications.
Leo Burnett was recently selected following the official exit of Nigeria from acute economic recession despite the pitch that took place in the first quarter of 2017.
Meanwhile, the selection of Leo Burnett Lagos to be the custodian of the account has been linked to the agency’s track records and its excellent creative innovations in just less than three years in the integrated marketing communication enterprise. It will be recalled that since January 2015, when Leo Burnett Lagos started operations, it has won several major accounts with a number of highly creative works done, thereby propelling the agency to the number four position of the list of the most creative agencies in Nigeria following its performance in the 2016 LAIF awards based on its sole entry for the #FOUNDONKONGA campaign.
The young agency is already making waves as one of the exceptional African companies to be featured in the latest edition of Lurzer’s Archive for its work on Heritage Bank’s #IAMPROUDOFMYHERITAGE campaign, the venerated bible of the advertising/creative industry.
They opined that the agency’s profile has being on the upward scale after producing some remarkable creative works that are traceable to the agency’s humankind philosophy, a philosophy built around the thinking that creativity had the power to transform human behaviour… for good. Thus, Leo Burnett has been causing disruption by adopting approach totally different from that of any agency present or before it in the industry.
