Challenging to say the least
It takes a lot of faith and courage to start anything. But it was the most fulfilling thing to have a desire in your heart and a knowing that if you just set out and believe you will achieve.

Tell us about your brand Classy By Bella?

ClassyByBella is an online skin care brand that caters to all skin types especially coloured skin. It was birthed in my senior year of college. It started very small but when I got to the US I realized starting a business was easier since you have most facilities and resources you will need at your finger tips. So I set out to leverage on my already growing followers and online presence to launch it.

But why fashion and skin care?

To be honest, outside of pure love for fashion, I find it fulfilling hearing clients express their satisfaction with my products and how confident and beautiful it made them feel when their skin glows and is blemish and spot free.
It was then i realized the gift I had.

What do you love to do, besides fashion/skincare?

Outside of fashion and skincare, i adore being with family, writing music or poetry, and making skits or creating content for my socials.

How do you combine all these; the music, skits, poetry, photography and your online business?

I realized very early on, that i am not just one thing. Music, poetry, photography and all I do are different facets of who i am. God put these gifts in me to be used, cultivated and shared. There is time for everything the gift is realizing when it’s time to use each one.

What has been you biggest lesson?

I used to do everything by myself, I thought that was the way to make the most profit. But “time is money”. My biggest lesson is delegating, hiring people to do all things I shouldn’t do so that I can focus on being more creative and making the business grow. It’s just like in Music, even though a lot of artistes can write/produce their own music and do sometimes, they prefer to have others write/produce so they can concentrate on just being the artiste and performing.

Got anything cooking specially for 2021?

A lot is in the works, you just have fasten your seat belts and stay tuned. Great things are coming.
