A called has made for girls to rise, shine, and rediscover their divine identity. Dr. Nkechi Ifediora’s made the call as the world marks the 2025 United Nations International Day of the Girl Child, themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” one woman’s message continues to ignite hearts across continents.
“Every girl is light. You don’t have to look for your crown you were born with it.” The United Kingdom-based medical doctor, author, and founder of Sparkle Queen Dolls, is not only building a brand, she’s building a global sisterhood. Her mission? To remind every girl that she is light, royal, and chosen for purpose.
Her best-selling book, Sparkle: The ABC of Smarter Living, continues to attract applause across the world for its message of purpose, wisdom, and transformation. Featured in New York’s Times Square and celebrated at the United Nations, the book empowers women and girls to live intentionally -combining faith, self-awareness, and personal discipline to create lasting impact.
However, beyond the pages of her book lies a growing global movement – Sparkle Queen Dolls, a faith-inspired initiative using storytelling, devotionals, and symbolic play to build identity and confidence in young girls.
Each Sparkle Queen Doll, named after biblical heroines – Esther, Mary, Deborah, and Eden -carries a story and a devotional. Together, they remind girls that their beauty lies not in trends, but in truth; not in popularity, but in purpose.
“When girls discover who they are, they stop chasing validation and start walking in vision.”
The movement is also bridging generations. The Sparkle Queen Club connects mothers, mentors, and daughters -creating safe spaces where girls can talk about faith, purity, leadership, and identity. It’s a living embodiment of this year’s UN campaign to “see and hear girls for who they are, and invest in their leadership.”
As the world celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration on Gender Equality, Dr. Ifediora’s Sparkle movement echoes the United Nations’ call to action – to amplify girls’ voices, invest in their education, and empower them to lead change even in times of crisis.
