Career journey.
With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, she has witnessed its rapid evolution firsthand. As a seasoned makeup artist, skincare expert, and fragrance connoisseur, she has developed deep expertise across multiple facets of beauty from makeup and skincare to fragrance and scent profiling. Her passion for the industry continues to drive her commitment to curating exceptional beauty experiences.
My journey has been continuous learning, growth, and refinement, allowing me to perfect my craft. Driven by my love for beauty and the need to bridge the gap in access to authentic beauty products in Nigeria, I founded Mirrors Beauty. My vision was to create a space where individuals could experience the finest in beauty firsthand, with a carefully curated selection of high-quality, globally recognised brands. At Mirrors Beauty, we don’t just sell products, we offer a luxury beauty experience that inspires confidence and enhances self-expression.
Beyond the boutique, Muinat is committed to redefining luxury beauty in Nigeria by educating consumers and introducing them to global beauty standards. She ensures that beauty lovers have access to the best skincare, makeup, and fragrance in Nigeria.
What does ‘Women Mean Business’ represent for you?
“Women Mean Business” isn’t just a statement, it’s a movement. It represents the power, resilience, and influence women bring to the business world. For me, it signifies the shift from women merely participating in business to leading, innovating, and shaping industries.
It’s about showing up unapologetically, breaking outdated stereotypes, and redefining success on our terms. At Mirrors Beauty, we celebrate this by empowering women to express themselves through beauty and confidence, because when a woman feels good, she steps into every space owning her power.
How can women continually stay relevant and build a successful business?
Adaptability and authenticity are key. The world is constantly evolving, and what worked five years ago may not necessarily work today. Women who stay relevant in business are the ones who are willing to learn, unlearn, and evolve while staying true to their brand.
Women need to be bold in leveraging technology, building networks, and staying informed about industry trends. The key is to evolve without losing authenticity, whether through storytelling, digital presence, or customer engagement. At Mirrors Beauty, we understand that success is built on consistency, quality, and community. Women who support, uplift, and collaborate create sustainable businesses that not only thrive but also inspire the next generation.
