Customer service means that you treat your customer like you would your grandma and you go the extra mile to delight them. It also means that the whole customer experience from start to finish is excellent. Any business they can boast of such practices will really stand out in the market place.

Aside from treating the customer as king, a business that has great business etiquette skills will stand out. A company who understands the importance of treating customers with the utmost respect will be appreciated. Good manners are embedded in such business cultures. Greeting, saying thanking and please are just like breathing. A business that demonstrates these skills will make a lasting impression to customers.

Effective Communication
Communication is the key. If you want to stand out in the marketplace, then you have to communicate your message effectively. The benefits of what you have on offer need to be clear and concise to the buyer. This should be reflective in all communication material whether in a brochure, flyer, website or press release. There should be no room for assumptions.

A memorable brand identity will always stand out in the marketplace. When a business has a good brand identity it means that customers will always remember them and what you stand for.

If you are not sure whether your business has a strong brand identity, conduct a quick survey and ask prospects about your brand. Ask your respondents what comes to mind when they think about the brand. If the responses are not reflective of the businesses values, then you haven’t created a strong brand identity.
