As part of activities to promote gender parity, the management and staff of Nosak Group recently joined the rest of the world to celebrate women in its organisation in a remarkable way.

Held at the company’s head office in Lagos, this year’s theme, “Better the Balance, Better the World’,” is a reminder that every facet of life will work better where there is a balance.

Congratulating the women, Group Chief Operating Officer of the company, Mr. Thomas Oloriegbe, said: “We are excited that a day is set aside annually to celebrate the strength and beauty of women, the world over. It is most exciting that year after year, the world has given due recognition to women in various spheres of life and has continued to recognise the importance of women in the society and work places to buttress why they should be given equal opportunities for self-expression, development and accomplishment.” He noted that this year’s theme is a reminder that the world will do better when there is fairness and equality of rights, adding that it is, therefore, a call to every organisation to continue to provide room for gender inclusiveness for a better society.

Managing Director, CCD Superstores, Mrs. Risi Ogunbor who was represented by the Executive Director, CCD Superstores, Mrs. Iyobo Innih, expressed her delight to see Nosak Group celebrate women in its employment.

Mrs Innih called on women to strive to be excellent in whatever they do as homemakers and in their workplaces, adding that it is the yardstick to value and appreciate women in the world.

“The world is fast on the move to achieve #BalanceForBetter; a gender-balanced boardroom, gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage, gender-balanced employees, among others. All these will be possible when women across careers distinguish themselves to be excellent,” she said.

Earlier in his address, the Group Executive Director, Mr. Osagie Ogunbor, disclosed that Nosak Group is constantly working to have an inclusive workforce that will be balanced in its operations. In a panel discussion, the company’s Secretary/Legal Adviser, Mrs. Judith Aikhoje and Compliance Manager, Nosak Farm Produce Limited, Mrs. Ngozi Kaura, charged women to be significant in their service and always do the right thing to become excellent.
