
The 5th Edition of the Sheroes Global Awards took place recently at the Sheraton Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.
Established to recognise and celebrate incredible women, men and young people who inspire, empower and impact in their own little ways, eight women, each referred to as a SHERO and one man described as HERO, were recognised for their outstanding contributions to the society.

. Data Phido: Recognised for creating radio drama for communicating behavioural change and addressing thematic issues.
. Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin: For supporting and empowering young girls in technology.
. Tonia Benjamin: For commitment to advocating for and empowering women and young girls in Nigeria.
. Aisha Ahman-Pategi: For her role in Otoge Movement in Kwara State, and commitment/dedication to advocating, promoting, empowering women and young people.
. Victory Ihongbe: For dedication to empowering and promoting teens in Nigeria.
. Mercy Makinde: For empowering, educating and supporting women from all walks of life.
. Toyin Alausa: Received Founder’s Award for her humility and commitment to empowering the youth.
. Temi Dalley: For dedication to advocating for and empowering women and young girls in Nigeria.
. Elisha Attai: For commitment and dedication empowering women to raise their voices and become leaders.
