SheCan Do More 7.0 set to empower thousands at leadership conference in Lagos

SHECAN

Preparations are in top gear for the seventh edition of the SheCan Do More Conference, one of Nigeria’s leading platforms for women’s empowerment, leadership development, mentorship and economic advancement, scheduled to hold on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Organisers say this year’s edition, themed around unlocking potential and creating opportunities for impact, is expected to attract thousands of participants, including entrepreneurs, professionals, corporate executives, innovators, policymakers and emerging leaders from across the country.

Speaking at a media briefing ahead of the conference, Founder of SheCan Nigeria and Deputy Managing Director of MBR Signature Ltd, Dr. Ezinne Ezeani, described the annual gathering as more than a one-day event, noting that it has evolved into a movement dedicated to transforming lives through year-round empowerment initiatives.

“The SheCan Do More Conference is a moment, but it is also a movement. Over the years, we have created a platform where industry leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and changemakers share their journeys and success stories to inspire and transform the lives of thousands of women and men who attend the conference,” she said.

According to Ezeani, the conference forms part of a broader ecosystem that provides mentorship, networking opportunities, career fairs, roundtable engagements, skills acquisition programmes, training initiatives and community-building activities throughout the year.

“We don’t stop at the conference. We have built an ecosystem that supports women and young professionals through mentorship programmes, networking opportunities, career advancement initiatives, skills development and strategic collaborations. The conference serves as a catalyst that connects participants to these opportunities,” she explained.

Expressing excitement about the scale of this year’s event, Ezeani revealed that interest in the conference has surpassed expectations.

“As of this week, we have recorded more than 13,800 registrations. That number reflects the growing demand for platforms that equip people with the knowledge, networks and opportunities they need to succeed. We are preparing to welcome thousands of participants who are eager to learn, connect, collaborate and grow,” she said.

She added that the conference remains committed to creating an inclusive environment where both women and men can engage in meaningful conversations around leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, personal development and nation-building.

“The importance of sharing stories cannot be overemphasised. Women remain one of the greatest untapped resources for development. Creating a platform where they can learn, gain opportunities, build connections and collaborate is critical to advancing not only individual success but national progress,” Ezeani said.

Participants at SheCan Do More 7.0 will benefit from keynote addresses, panel discussions, mentorship sessions, practical leadership and career development insights, entrepreneurship opportunities, networking engagements and access to resources designed to support personal and professional growth.

One of the headline partners for this year’s conference is Seven-Up Bottling Company, whose Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Sari El-Khalil, described the partnership as a natural alignment of values and vision.

Speaking at the briefing, El-Khalil said the partnership was inspired by the resilience and determination that define both organisations.

“The story of Seven-Up Bottling Company and the story of SheCan share a common thread – resilience. When I met the SheCan team and understood the vision behind the movement, I saw a reflection of values that resonate strongly with us. It was clear that we wanted to be part of this journey,” he said.

Several sponsors and strategic partners also reaffirmed their commitment to women’s empowerment and inclusive development, noting that their support aligns with the vision and mission of the SheCan movement to increase women’s participation and leadership across all sectors of society.

Among those present at the media briefing were Partnership and Alliance Manager, Loft & Keys, Kikelomo Adeyemi; Lead, SARA by Wema, Omolabake Bowoto; Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mojec International and VSolaris, Chantelle Abdul; Managing Director, MBR Signature Ltd, Stanley Ezeani; Group Head, People and Culture, Seven-Up Bottling Company, Mrs. Olayinka Olufade; Marketing Manager, BIC Nigeria, Foluke Femi-Sanda; Brand Manager, Joy Beauty, Adebisi Adenola; Head of Category, PZ Cussons, Chinonyerem Opara; Brand Manager, HAANO, Thompson Ani; Regional Manager, West, Hareem, Tayo Solomon; and Marketing Manager, ReelFruit, Abisoye Osho.
