SUNGLASSES

WITH the sun blazing hot in
the afternoons this dry season,
sunglasses are certainly
must-have accessories to protect
the eyes from the harmful rays
of the sun. Aside that, they are
also used to complement an
outfit and make style statements.

They come in different colours,
designs, shapes and sizes and
you need to choose the eyewear
that flatters your face shape.

First of all, you need to know
whether your face is round,
oval, long, square, flat or heartshaped.
Ladies with wide cheekbones
and a narrow chin, also known
as a heart-shaped face, should
opt for aviators to give them the
ideal look. It is would be nice to
back off from oversized aviators.

Rather, opt for the ones that
have a more rounded silhouette
throughout. Also, cat-eye sunglasses
that are not too narrow
or pointy would be nice for this
shape.

Square faces with a small forehead
and strong jaw line should
pick circular frames or round
glasses for a balanced look. You
should avoid square styles or
frames with hard shapes. Go for
sunglasses with softer, more
rounded edges or even an oversized
cat-eye, as those will complement
broad features.

Oval type usually has the “perfect
face shape”, and can wear
any style of glasses. Avoid
frames that are either too thick
or too thin. Don’t choose frames
wider than your face width.

A round face has plumper
cheeks and chin. It is better to
go for square sunglasses that
have an angle design to balance
this out. Also opt for thicker
frames.
Ladies with long face should
pick larger lenses and the polygonal
frame to modify the face.

You can consider popular retro
glasses and sports glasses can be
considered while ladies who possess
flat face should choose darker
lenses and frames to highlight the
contours of the face.
