In its 24 years of empowering women in leadership, Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) at its maiden Annual General Meeting (AGM) reaffirms its mission to drive growth.
Held at the WIMBIZ Headquarters in Lagos, the landmark event, designed exclusively for Associates and Life Members, provided a reflective and purposeful gathering to review the achievements of 2024 and align a collective vision for the future.
The AGM brought together key stakeholders, including members of the Board of Trustees: Bisi Adeyemi, Chairman; Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi and Niyi Yusuf, Members; along with Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, Executive Director, WIMBIZ; Belinda Nwodo, Secretary, Board of Trustees (Adcax Corporate Services Limited); Peter Olaitan Asemah, Partner, Kreston Pedabo; Omotoke Adebakin, Manager, Kreston Pedabo; and the WIMBIZ HQ Team.
The session served as a platform to celebrate shared achievements, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and reinforce WIMBIZ’s enduring mission of empowering and advancing women in leadership.
Over the past year, WIMBIZ has continued to push boundaries, amplify women’s voices, and expand its global footprint through strategic programming, advocacy, and partnerships. The AGM highlighted these accomplishments and facilitated direct engagement with members who play a pivotal role in the organization’s impact. The AGM also featured the presentation of the Audited Financial Statements, affirming the organisation’s compliance with international financial reporting standards and sound accounting practices.
Looking ahead, WIMBIZ reaffirmed its commitment to inspiring, empowering, and elevating women in leadership through innovative initiatives, inclusive platforms, and sustainable collaborations.
