The Margarita Festival Africa (MFAF) is set to return on November 30, 2025, marking its 10th edition across three nations and the 6th in Lagos.

Since its inception, the festival has evolved beyond cocktails into a vibrant celebration of food, music, arts, and lifestyle—spotlighting Latin-inspired experiences while showcasing African creativity.

Over the years, MFAF has expanded from Lagos to Abuja, Accra, and Abidjan, while hosting special editions such as Margarita Day (2022 & 2025) and Cinco de Mayo (2022).

The 2025 edition will feature live music, circus acts, cultural showcases, over 15 margarita flavours, a tequila exhibition, and the festival’s signature Margalympics cocktail competition.

Ahead of the main event, judges will tour nominated bars and restaurants across Lagos, with finalists competing on the festival stage, where attendees can also vote for their favourites.

Founder and Convener of MFAF, Wendz Connoisseur, said the festival has become “a thriving cultural movement that unites people across nations.

“Margarita Festival Africa is more than an event; it is a community, a celebration of culture, and a testament to how cocktails can bring people together. As we celebrate our 10th edition, we are excited to showcase the magic of Lagos while reinforcing Nigeria’s place as a cultural and tourism hub in Africa.”

This year’s edition is expected to attract over 1,500 participants, including cocktail enthusiasts, food lovers, cultural adventurers, and tourists.

Beyond entertainment, the festival also carries a corporate social responsibility mandate, providing back-to-school kits for children of hospitality workers and supporting bartender grants through its LimeFolk Initiative.
