Nigerian pop artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has earned a Silver Certification in the United Kingdom for his fourth studio album, Timeless, after the project surpassed 100,000 unit sales.

According to Chart Data, a music analytics platform that tracks global music performance, the certification recognises Timeless’ commercial success in the UK market since its release on March 31, 2023.

The 17-track album blends Afrobeats with elements of dancehall, reggae, konto, highlife, and Afropop. It features collaborations with several high-profile artists, including Asake, Skepta, Dexta Daps, Angelique Kidjo, Cavemen, and Fave.

Beyond its commercial performance, Timeless has received critical acclaim and industry recognition. It earned Davido a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album, while its standout track “Unavailable” was nominated for Best African Song Performance. Another track from the album, “Feel”, was nominated for Best Global Song Performance.

“Unavailable” has also been certified Silver in the UK, marking another milestone for the singer in one of the world’s most competitive music markets.

Davido promoted the album with the “Timeless Tour,” which took him to major cities across North America and Europe, including performances in Washington D.C., New York, Toronto, and London.

The album previously broke streaming records across platforms such as Spotify Nigeria, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube.
