Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has released a new album titled This One Is Personal, her first full-length project in five years.
The album, which was made available on Friday, contains 15 tracks including I’m Done, Angel Dust, You4Me, On the Low featuring Skepta, Holding It Down, 10%, Twisted, Scared of Love, Pray No More, Addicted featuring Taves, This One Is Personal (Interlude), Will I Run Again?, For One Night, You’re Not the First (You’re Just the Worst) and Change featuring James Fauntleroy.
Speaking ahead of the release, Savage described the project as one of her most intimate works yet. She said it was recorded across Nashville, London and Lagos, and reflects themes of pain, growth and resilience.
“This project is so close to my heart and I poured every part of me into it. I just pray you receive it with the same love I created it with. Please cherish it, because This One Is Personal,” she wrote on X.
The singer explained that her choice of collaborators was deliberate, keeping the focus on connection rather than numbers.
“I wanted you all to feel me in every song. The few features I chose were very intentional, with people who understood the vision and could add to the message without taking away from its intimacy,” she said during a fan Q&A on X.
The project was executive produced by Savage, Vannessa Amadi-Ogbonna and MystroSugar, with A&R by Kolawole Omoboriowo and Sak Pase.
Fans have since taken to social media under the hashtag #ThisOneIsPersonal to share their first impressions and celebrate Savage’s return to the album space since Celia in 2020.
