Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats
2 cups water or milk
1/2 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

In a saucepan, bring water or milk to a boil.
Stir in oats and reduce heat to a simmer.
Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oats are tender.
Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon, if using.
Serve topped with berries, nuts, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Additional tips

For added creaminess, use almond or coconut milk.
