Nigerian 15-year-old artist, Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, is now the face of Guardian Life.

Kanyeyachukwu made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the Largest Painting on Canvas by an Individual.

His artwork, titled “Impossibility is a Myth”, was unveiled in Abuja during the 2025 World Autism Awareness Day celebration.

The canvas measures 12,303 square metres, making it more than twice the size of a football field.

It beat the previous record by nearly 3,000 square metres.

The event at Eagle Square pulled in diplomats, civil society groups, traditional rulers, government officials and creatives.
Kanyeyachukwu was presented with his Guinness World Record certificate live at the unveiling.

Now, he is the newest cover star of Guardian Life magazine, which will be available tomorrow, Saturday, April 5, 2025.

President also noticed

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Kanyeyachukwu on X, calling his achievement a symbol of bravery and possibility.

“You said, ‘Impossibility is a myth,’ and you set out to prove that impossibility was nothing when you created the largest art canvas in the world,” the President wrote.

He called the 15-year-old “brave, audacious and tenacious.”

“Your story has made history and Nigeria is proud of you, Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo Okeke,” he added.

A journey built on colour and structure

Kanyeyachukwu’s father, Mr Tagbo Okeke, said the journey began with his son’s early love for colour and a structured routine that helped him stay focused.

He explained that the title of the artwork was not just a message, but a reflection of the challenges they overcame.

Minister Hannatu Musawa described the record as a “historic and inspiring milestone” that proves age or disability is no limitation to greatness.

UNICEF’s Cristian Munduate, Senator Victor Umeh, and MTN Nigeria’s Chikaodi Ofoegbu also praised the achievement and called for more support for inclusion and creativity in Nigeria.
