Oranefo Uchenna Samuel, popularly known as Big Baby Boi, says he is ready to transition from being known solely as a skit maker to building a broader comedy brand that includes stage performances, digital series, and commercial ventures.

“I want to become a full-time comedy brand, not just a skit guy,” he said during a recent Instagram Live session.

Known for his eccentric baby character — complete with diapers, pacifiers, and over-the-top antics — Big Baby Boi has grown into a popular figure in Nigeria’s online comedy scene since rising to prominence in 2020. His content often features unscripted interactions in public spaces, blending dance, costume, and humour to comedic effect.

The entertainer has racked up over 10 million views on TikTok and collaborated with comedy acts such as Sirbalo, Mr Heelarious, and Realjadrolita. He also featured in Brain Jotter’s Abuja show, adding to his growing résumé in the live comedy space.

“People laugh because they don’t expect what I bring. The outfit, the dancing, the voiceovers — I blend street vibes with comedy energy that’s pure me,” he said.

Big Baby Boi’s upcoming plans include a YouTube comedy series, branded content, merchandise, and appearances in longer-format productions. The moves signal a shift from short-form skits to a more structured business approach aimed at establishing a personal comedy franchise.
