Veteran juju musician Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi has dismissed fresh rumours of his death.
The 83-year-old singer, in a video on his Instagram page on Sunday, described those spreading the report as his “enemies.”
“I saw a video that announced my death again and claimed that my enemy had a stroke,” he said.
In the clip, Obey appeared with his two sons, Larry Obey and Bishop Folarin Obey, stressing that the rumours were false and targeted at tarnishing his image.
He explained that he had recently travelled to London for personal care and described the report as lies “from the kingdom of darkness.”
“My God is indeed in control. I repeat, my God is in control. I know that will never, never, never come to pass,” he added.
This is not the first time the singer has faced such rumours.
In April 2025, similar reports of his death circulated online, forcing his personal assistant to issue a statement to reassure fans of his well-being.x
