In music scene, they don’t play with Cele boys, says Vector
Popular Nigerian rapper, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, aka Vector, has said, in the world of music, no one messes with musicians from the White Garment Church
Speaking in a recent interview with Arise Television, the 40-year-old rapper made it clear that no matter where they performed, whether it’s the Redeemed Church or a Catholic gathering, the skill and professionalism of Cele musicians are always acknowledged.
“In the music scene, they don’t play with Cele boys, like, there’s no music scene I’ve been in where they haven’t mentioned the capacity or talent of the instrumentalists from the White Garment Church,” Vector said.
“People respect Cele boys, especially the drummers. Outside of the industry, maybe they don’t get as much recognition, but those of us in the music circles know better.”
For Vector, who has worked with a variety of musicians across different genres and church settings, his experience with Cele musicians is personal. “Whether it’s at a church event or a music session, the respect for Cele boys is undeniable. In my experience, they’ve always been recognised, especially for their drumming skills,” he added.
Recall that earlier this month, Ruger shared a testimony about his spiritual encounter during the Cherubim and Seraphim church’s crossover service in Ojodu, Lagos State.

In his testimony, Ruger expressed his emotional breakthrough, revealing that he shed tears for the first time in four years after feeling God’s presence in the church.
“I thank God. I have not cried in like four years. Today, I saw God again, and I cried. I thank God for my life,” he said.
Teniola Apata, aka Teni who was also present at the crossover service, thanked the church during her testimony.
The Billionaire crooner who stated that she grew up at the Ayo Ni O Surelere church branch, thanked the church for inviting her and making her feel welcome.
