Mercy Chinwo’s Diss Track: Do you have ₦100m to feature me, Portable blasts VDM

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has publicly rebuked social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), for attempting to involve him in a diss track targeting gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
The Guardian reports that the development follows Chinwo’s lawsuit against VDM, which the gospel singer had initiated, alleging defamation and demanding ₦1.1 billion in damages.
The lawsuit stems from VDM’s accusations that Chinwo misappropriated funds from her performances without remitting them to her former record label.
In response to the lawsuit, VDM announced plans to release a diss track titled “Body of Christ” and expressed interest in featuring Portable. However, Portable vehemently declined the offer in an Instagram post on Saturday, warning VDM to cease mentioning his name.

He criticized VDM for allegedly tarnishing the reputations of individuals, businesses, and marriages. Portable also questioned VDM’s financial capacity to afford a collaboration, asking if he had ₦100 million for his verse.
He said, ““Stop talking about me, do not mention my name. You defame people, you are among those people who defame celebrities online.
“You defame rich people. You defame people who carry grace and glory, defame people’s business and marriages. You just come from nowhere… You said that we should sing, do you have N100 million in your account to feature me?”
