Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has been spotted with Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, at an exclusive Iftar dinner.
A viral video from the event shows Burna Boy prostrating as he greeted Dangote in the traditional Yoruba style.
The gesture has drawn praises, with many seeing it as a sign of respect and cultural values.
While the reason for their meeting remains unknown, speculations have surfaced. Some believe it was a strategic networking opportunity, while others see it as a casual gathering.

This is not Burna Boy’s first high-profile meeting in recent weeks. On February 26, billionaire businessman Femi Otedola hosted him alongside Wizkid at his Lagos home.

Otedola, in a post on his X handle, described it as a privilege to host the music icons.
He praised Afrobeats for its global influence, hinting at a conversation centered on the genre’s continued growth.
Burna Boy has also referenced Dangote in his music. In 2019, he released Dangote, a song emphasizing the importance of hard work and persistence, drawing parallels to the billionaire’s success.

At the time, Dangote had just climbed to number 64 on the world billionaire’s list, retaining his position as Africa’s richest man for the eighth time. The song became an anthem for many hustlers.
Now, years later, Burna Boy and Dangote have finally met in person. With his recent meetings with two of Nigeria’s biggest billionaires, many are wondering if the Afrobeats star is setting the stage for a major business move.
