Calling all little chefs! For Children’s Day, we’re making mini pizzas, and bite-sized surprises with your little ones. These small treats are easy to make, ideal for small hands, and sure to be a tasty celebration!

Ingredients

  •  Pizza base: puff puff balls, bread slices, or pre-made pizza dough
  • Tomato stew or special pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese or local cheese curds (wara)
  • Pizza toppings: chopped suya, shredded spring onions, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, and whatever you like.

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (around 200°C).
  2. Place your chosen pizza base on a baking sheet. 
  3. Spread the yummy tomato stew or your favourite sauce. Don’t worry about perfection, everyone makes a mess while cooking sometimes.
  4. Decorate your pizzas with fun toppings of your choice. For a fun look arrange the toppings in funny ways for a playful look. 
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese all over the pizza.
  6. Bake your mini pizzas in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye on them. You want them golden brown and bubbly, not burnt! 
  7. Once your mini pizzas are ready, for a little extra kick, you can drizzle your pizzas with a little chilli sauce over them.
