Abiodun, Learn Africa donate books, learning materials to Ogun public schools

Learn Africa Plc, in partnership with wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun donated over 42,000 books to public primary and secondary schools in the state.

Learn Africa Plc, in partnership with wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun donated over 42,000 books to public primary and secondary schools in the state.
 
During the event, held in Abeokuta, Mrs. Abiodun bemoaned the current state of education in the state, which has dropped from the forefront to the 23rd position in the country.
   
She stated that the mission of the present administration was to ensure that all children had access to quality education adding that the donation of the books and learning materials was in line with the mission.
 

 
She expressed gratitude to Learn Africa Plc, for the kind gesture and support, urging individuals and organisations to borrow a leaf from them.

The Managing Director, Learn Africa, Alhaji Salisu Hassan Bala in his remark, reiterated his company’s support, promising to always be there whenever their support is needed.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and
Technology, Mr. Oluola Aikulola, in his welcome address described education as a necessity for human advancement.
 
The Board Secretary, SUBEB, Mr. Wasiu Kuye, in his goodwill message, commended Learn Africa for the rich and relevant contents of the books, which he said would not only assist learners but would also promote learning.
