Akeredolu to sign bill establishing Ondo security trust fund today

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will today sign a bill for the establishment of the state Security Trust Fund into law, giving the State Security Network, Amotekun Corps, a legal and financial framework.

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will today sign a bill for the establishment of the State Security Trust Fund into law, giving the State Security Network, Amotekun Corps, a legal and financial framework.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists yesterday in Akure by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Richard Olatunde.

Olatunde added that signing the bill into law would further consolidate the efforts of the governor on securing the life and property of the people of the state.

“As part of the commitment to sustaining his administration’s efforts and ensuring the effective functioning of the security structure in the state, the governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will be signing into law the bill for the establishment of the Ondo State Security Trust Fund on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

“The bill, when signed into law, will, among several other objectives, sustain the gains already recorded on security in the state,” the statement stated.
