The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, yesterday urged President Muhammadu Buhari, state governors and other leaders nationwide to be open to criticisms.

Receiving members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) led by its chairman, Ademola Babalola, during a courtesy visit, the monarch noted that for the country to have a true democracy, political and traditional leaders at all levels must accommodate opposing views.

Oba Adeyemi regretted that most leaders in the country do not welcome censure.

He said there was nowhere in the world one would see the kind of constitution being operated by Nigeria.
