APC convention: Jigawa delegate slumps, dies in Abuja
Tragedy struck yesterday as the All Progressives Congress (APC) lost one of its 2,340 delegates from Jigawa State. It was gathered that the delegate, identified as Malam Isah Baba-Buji, slumped and died while taking his breakfast at a hotel in Abuja before preparing to move to the venue of the party convention at Eagle Square.
An official of the party, APC spokeman in Jigawa, Mr Bashir Kundu, confirmed the development to newsmen, adding that the deceased was being prepared to be conveyed back to Jigawa for burial rites in accordance with Islamic rites.
Baba-Buji was the APC vice chairman for Jigawa Southwest.
