Chery Automobile has crossed the 20 million cumulative global vehicle sales mark, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive brands.
This, Carloha Nigeria said, strengthens confidence in the market among Nigerian motorists.
The milestone, announced by Carloha Nigeria, the authorised distributor of Chery vehicles in the country, shows the Chinese automaker’s rapid global expansion, with about one-third of its total sales now coming from international markets spanning Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
Adding to the feat, Chery became the first Chinese automaker to export more than 200,000 vehicles in a single month after achieving the record in July 2026, further consolidating its leadership in global vehicle exports.
General Manager, Marketing, Carloha Nigeria, Felix Mahan, described the achievement as a reflection of Chery’s commitment to innovation, quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
He said the global sales milestone gives Nigerian buyers greater confidence that they are investing in a globally trusted automotive brand with a proven record across international markets.
According to the company, Chery has continued to invest heavily in research and development, new energy vehicles (NEVs), intelligent connectivity and advanced manufacturing, enabling it to compete with established global automotive brands.
In Nigeria, Carloha said it is expanding Chery’s footprint through a growing range of premium SUVs and NEVs backed by an extensive after-sales support network.
