The Chairman of the Contact and Mobilisation Sub-Committee on Ethnic Nationality and Lagos State Deputy Chief of Staff, Sam Egube, has commended South-South Lagos APC women for their organisation and preparedness at a town hall meeting convened by the South-South People’s United Forum.
Sam Egube, who is the Forum’s apex leader, joined members of the group at the meeting, which also featured the unveiling of the women’s campaign outfit.
He said the gathering demonstrated the group’s growing level of organisation and readiness ahead of the political activities leading to the 2027 elections.
“As Apex Leader, I was particularly proud of what today represented. It was not simply another gathering; it reflected the level of organisation, intentionality and readiness we are working to build within our structure,” Egube said.
“Our women came together with energy, clarity of purpose and a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to the work ahead.”
The Lagos State APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, also commended the initiative, noting that the South-South women were the first group to unveil a campaign outfit.
Egube said the recognition highlighted the importance of preparation and creating opportunities for members to participate in party activities.
“Preparation matters. Organisation matters. And when people are given the opportunity to participate meaningfully, they bring enormous value to the process,” he said.
The town hall is part of the activities of the ethnic nationality sub-committee, which is responsible for engaging community groups across Lagos, strengthening relationships with their associations and providing channels for communicating their concerns within the APC campaign structure.
Egube, as chairman of the sub-committee, coordinates members across various ethnic nationality groupings and oversees its engagement programme within the party’s campaign structure for President Bola Tinubu, Dr Obafemi Hamzat and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
He also commended the leadership of the South-South People’s United Forum, its women leaders and others involved in organising the town hall and unveiling.
“The goal is to continue building a platform where our people are heard, represented and properly organised to play their part,” Egube said.
