FG declares May 1 public holiday
The Federal Government has declared Friday, May 1, 2020 as public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers’ Day.
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who made the announcement in a statement yesterday in Abuja, lauded Nigerian workers for their resilience, patience and hardwork.
He said their understanding, particularly the support to the present administration’s efforts in containing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, was commendable.
The former Osun State governor thanked Nigerians and organised labour for their sacrifices in this crisis period.
