MAI Foundation Global has commenced an organisation-wide digital transformation programme aimed at modernising its operations, improving collaboration across countries and strengthening the delivery and measurement of its social impact.
The initiative, being led by the Foundation’s Chief Innovation Officer, Precious Ejiba, marks a strategic shift towards a technology-enabled operating model designed to improve organisational efficiency, enhance programme delivery and provide real-time insights into the Foundation’s activities across its international network.
Ejiba, who was appointed Chief Innovation Officer in February 2026, is spearheading the design and implementation of the Foundation’s digital transformation strategy, including the deployment of systems to improve the management of programmes, partnerships, volunteers, beneficiaries and organisational performance.
A key component of the initiative is the development of an Executive Leadership Dashboard, which will provide real-time visibility into programme performance, partnerships, funding, volunteer engagement, beneficiary reach and country-level activities. According to the Foundation, the platform will support evidence-based decision-making by enabling executives to monitor organisational performance through a single digital interface.
The Foundation is also introducing a modern digital workplace to replace fragmented communication channels with structured organisational email systems, shared workspaces, cloud-based document management, collaborative productivity tools and standardised digital workflows to improve coordination among leadership, staff, volunteers and country offices.
As part of its long-term innovation strategy, MAI Foundation is developing the MAI Learning Platform, a digital ecosystem that will provide leadership development, innovation training and professional capacity-building for young people, volunteers and strategic partners.
The Foundation said the platform is expected to support scalable learning while enabling partner organisations to strengthen workforce development through structured digital training programmes.
The transformation programme also introduces standardised reporting frameworks, innovation governance structures and digital performance measurement systems to improve monitoring and evaluation of programmes across countries where the Foundation operates.
In addition, MAI Foundation plans to expand the publication of research-based articles, policy insights, innovation reports and digital content focused on technology for social impact, complementing its flagship programmes and international events, including the World Health Exhibition and Conference (WHEC).
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAI Foundation Global, Ayomide Iwalaiye, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to building systems that support sustainable growth.
“As MAI Foundation continues to grow internationally, we recognised the need to build stronger digital systems that support transparency, collaboration and long-term sustainability. Precious has brought a clear vision for how technology can strengthen our operations and amplify our impact.
This transformation is about building an organisation that is prepared for the future,” Iwalaiye said.
Speaking on the programme, Ejiba who is also the Chief Executive Officer of DB Biomedical, where she leads the development of digital health technologies and artificial intelligence-driven healthcare solutions said digital transformation extends beyond technology adoption.
“Digital transformation is not simply about adopting new technology. It is about fundamentally improving how organisations operate, make decisions and create lasting impact. Our vision is to build an innovation-driven Foundation where technology enables better collaboration, better measurement of outcomes and greater opportunities to serve communities across the world,” Ejiba stated.
According to the Foundation, the digital transformation programme represents one of its most significant organisational initiatives and is intended to strengthen its use of technology, innovation and data to improve programme delivery, expand strategic partnerships and accelerate sustainable development across the communities it serves.
