IFAD to support farmers for dry season farming
The Taraba State government has said plans have been mapped out by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)’s Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) to bring smiles to farmers’ faces, by supporting them with relevant farm inputs for the dry season.
The state commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resource, David Ishaya Kasa, who made this known, yesterday, at the opening of the state trade promotion and knowledge fair, organised by VCDP, said no fewer than 4, 522 farmers from the state would benefit from the gesture.
Other provisions made to farmers by IFAD includes, construction of 20km feeder roads in the state’s hinterlands.
