The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has said the state government captured N300m monthly allowances for corps members in the state’s 2023 budget to boost their morale while serving in the various sectors of its economy.

El-Rufai spoke through the Commissioner, of Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Hafsat Baba at the close of the 2022 batch ‘C’ (stream 1) 21-day orientation course at the temporary orientation camp, Government College, Kurmi Marshi, Kaduna North local government area of the state.

The governor noted that the state government placed a premium priority on the welfare of the corps members deployed to the state even though they are visitors, hence, a deliberate plan to further capture their concerns in the state’s annual income and expenditure plan.

It is important to add that before 2015, the state used to pay serving corps members N3,000 monthly allowances though the new amount was not stipulated in the renewed effort in the last year of the current democratically elected governor.

According to him, “the good people of Kaduna are warm and hospitable and the Kaduna State government places high premium on your security and welfare.”
