Lagos police arrest ex-convict, recovers guns, four rounds of 9mm live ammunition in Lagos
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command, Area B Apapa, have arrested two notorious armed robbers and recovered live ammunition in Ajegunle community, Lagos.
One Beretta pistol, one locally made revolver pistol with four rounds of 9mm live ammunition and one expended shell of ammunition were recovered from the robbers.
The suspects are Sodiq ’m’ aka Foreigner, who was recently released from prison and Habeeb ‘m’ aka Kiki.
The duo were wanted for terrorising Ajegunle and environs.
The Command’s spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP), Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement yesterday, said operatives of the Area B Apapa trailed the armed robbers to their hideout in Ajegunle, where the dare-devil robbers engaged the operatives in a gun duel in a bid to escape arrest.
Meanwhile, the State Police Command has urged youths to desist from crimes, as the long arm of the law will always catch up with criminals no matter how long it takes.
