The General Overseer (GO) of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has advised government and Nigerians to use the Easter period to promote peace and love in the country, saying that it is the only way “we can acknowledge and appreciate what Jesus Christ has done for humanity.”

The General Overseer stated that if there is any time that the country needs peace more than ever, it is now. The cleric spoke through the Public Relations Director of the church, Pastor Louis Chidi, ahead of the church’s two-day Easter programme titled, “God’s covenant of peace and blessing,” holding tomorrow and Sunday at the church ground, along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, by Ijesha Bus-stop from 8:00 a.m. daily.

Muoka urged Nigerians not to reject the peace, which God freely offered to mankind through His Son Jesus Christ. He said: “God has offered us everlasting peace at no cost. However, the cost will be huge if we reject the free offer. If the world, particularly Nigerians, will acknowledge and appreciate the work of grace and return to God, then the political and economic problems will become a thing of the past.” He assured Nigerians that the country would rejoice again if they return to God and ask for forgiveness of sins.

“This weekend, as we return to God with apology for our sins, peace shall return and the country shall rejoice again. There shall be peace and joy for every participant because God Almighty has seen the hopelessness they are subjected to and has prepared the crusade to shower peace and joy unspeakable to them.”
