NCS warns public over fake facebook page impersonating service

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS)

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has alerted members of the public to the activities of a fraudulent Facebook page operating under the name “Nigeria Customs Clearance board Authority,” which is falsely impersonating the Service.

In a statement, the NCS said the page is not affiliated with the agency in any capacity and is being used to mislead and defraud unsuspecting individuals.

The Service warned Nigerians to disregard any information, offers, or requests originating from the fake page, stressing that it should not be engaged under any circumstance.

It urged the public to rely only on its verified official communication channels for authentic updates and information.

The approved platforms include its official Facebook page (Nigeria Customs Service), X handle (@customsng), Instagram (@customsng), Threads (@customsng), and TikTok (@customsng).

The NCS also encouraged Nigerians to report suspicious accounts or online activities falsely claiming to represent the agency, as part of efforts to curb cyber fraud and impersonation.
