Confab to recognise digital transformation excellence

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) and C-Suite Conference and Awards Africa 2025 would be recognising excellence in digital transformation and leadership across industries.

According to the organisers, the yearly gathering celebrates organisations and individuals demonstrating exceptional innovation in leveraging technology to drive growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Convener of the CIO and C-Suite Conference and Awards, Abiola Laseinde, hinted that the role of the CIO has evolved from managing information (IT) infrastructure to becoming a strategic business partner and driver of organisational transformation.

The awards, according to her, honour leaders who have redefined what technology leadership means in the modern enterprise.

She said over the years, the awards have earned a reputation for spotlighting the people and institutions driving meaningful digital progress across the continent.

Acknowledging the impact of past winners, who have credited the recognition while amplifying their impact and strengthening their industry standing.

“This year’s edition promises to be a landmark occasion, bringing together C-Suite executives, technology vendors, policymakers, and industry analysts to explore the evolving future of enterprise technology within Africa’s largest economy,” she said.

Deputy IT Director of the Egyptian Banking Institute, Egypt, Mohamed Besheer, who reflected on the experience, said:

This year’s conference, with the theme, ‘The Digital Tax Shift’, held in Lagos on Nov 22, is expected to guide conversations on emerging technologies, infrastructure readiness, compliance, and strategic adaptation across African enterprises.

Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), Ayodele Subair, is expected to deliver the keynote address on “Building a Smart Tax Ecosystem”, while Premier Oiwoh, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS), and Olukunle Ogunbamowo, Tax Partner at Deloitte, alongside other distinguished thought leaders from across the continent, are also billed to speak during the conference.
