The Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) has handed over a renovated office complex and two operational vehicles to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Zone 25, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The office, which covers the Bariga and Oworonshoki axis, was destroyed during the 2020 #EndSARS protests and had remained abandoned for several years.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LSDPC, Ayodeji Joseph, said the reconstruction and renovation of the facility, as well as the two operational vehicles, were meant to strengthen LASTMA’s emergency response and traffic management capacity.
Joseph, who was represented by the company’s Executive Director, Business Development and Joint Venture, Mr Derin Phillips, said the intervention reflects the corporation’s commitment to meaningful CSR initiatives and stronger collaboration among government agencies.
According to him, such partnerships are essential for improving public service delivery and ensuring that government institutions are adequately equipped to serve Lagos residents efficiently.
Receiving the CSR projects, LASTMA General Manager, Mr Bakare-Oki Olalekan, thanked LSDPC for the intervention, saying they would provide a better working environment for officers in the affected zone, while the additional vehicles would improve the agency’s operational efficiency and response time to traffic incidents across Lagos.
