The President, Rotary Club of Festac Town, District 9110, Anselem Alokha, has said the club has commenced the renovation of Festac Town Divisional Police Station.

He said the club has started working on the renovation of the Human Rights block of the police station.

Speaking during the visit of the District Governor, Remi Bello to the club, Alokha said: “The major project we are working on now is the renovation of the divisional police station in Festac Town. We are working on the Human Rights Block. Hopefully, that will be completed soon. Then once that is completed, we will go on with other projects, including the scholarship scheme that we normally offered to students. We also have borehole projects coming up.”
While calling for support, the president said the executive cannot do it alone.

“Everybody has the committee he belongs and we hope that with the synergy that will come from the performance of everyone, we will be able to go a long way to achieve our objective.”

The District Governor urged other clubs in the district to explore collaboration by admitting new members and carrying out projects that will touch lives.
Meanwhile, he said preparation is in top gear ahead of the visit of the President, Rotary International, who is expected to visit the country in September.
